Updated Description: The subject property was constructed in 1959 in the La Quinta Cove neighborhood. CRM Tech described
the property as a Ranch style single-family residence in 2006. Urbana staff conclude that residence more specifically displays the
characteristics of a Custom Ranch style residential property. The one story single family building was constructed with a low pitched
side gable roof and a rectangular plan. The roof has narrow boxed eaves. The exterior is clad in stucco and vertical boards. The
subject property is partially obscured by a concrete block privacy wall and vegetation. Based on what is visible, there does not
appear to have been any significant alterations since the previous survey. The previous survey mentions fixed and sliding windows;
during the current survey, fixed windows were not observed and may have been removed.
Updated Significance: A prior survey evaluated the property as status code 6Z - found ineligible for NRHP, CRHR, and Local
Register designation. The current survey found that the dwelling is associated with the theme of Residential Development (1934-
1970s), but it does not possess individual documented significance in relation to this theme. While the dwelling is located within the
proposed La Quinta Cove Historic District, it is a non-contributor due to its architectural style and date of construction.
The dwelling has not been found individually eligible under NRHP/CRHR/Local Criterion A/1/B, as it has not been associated with
significant events or patterns of events in local, regional, state, or national history; not individually eligible Criterion B/2/B, as it has
not been identified as having an association with an important person; not individually eligible under Criterion C/3/C, as it does not
embody the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction; and not individually eligible under Criterion
D/4/D, as further study of the dwelling would not appear to yield information which could be considered important in local, regional,
state, or national history. Additionally, the property was not found to be individually eligible under Local Register Criterion A, as it
was not found to exemplify a special element of the City of La Quinta. As the dwelling has not been substantially altered, this
dwelling maintains integrity from the historic period.

setting, and boundaries) This one-story, Ranch-style single-family residence faces
east from the west side of Avenida Bermudas. The wood-framed, rectangular
residence is topped by a low-pitched, side-gabled roof covered with asphalt
and white gravel, and narrow, boxed eaves shelter walls clad with flush
vertical boards and stucco wainscoting. Fenestration consists of aluminum-
framed, fixed and sliding windows, and the entrance door is sheltered only
