2001 06 26 RDA Minutes LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES JUNE 26, 2001 A special meeting of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairperson Henderson. PRESENT: Board Members Adolph, Pe~a, Perkins, Sniff, Chairperson Henderson ABSENT: None PUBLIC COMMENT - None CLOSED SESSION Board Member Pe~a abstained from participating in Item No. I due to a potential conflict of interest. 1. Conference with Agency,s real property negotiator, Mark Weiss, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 concerning potential terms and conditions of acquisition and/or disposition of real property located on the west side of Washington Street, north of Avenue 48 (APN: 643-090-024). Property Owner/Negotiator: La Quinta Arts Foundation. The Agency recessed to Closed Session to and until the hour of 2:00 pm. 2:00 P.M. The Agency meeting reconvened with no decisions being made in Closed Session which require reporting pursuant to Section 54957.1 of the Government Code (Brown Act). PUBLIC COMMENT - None CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA - Confirmed CONSENT CALENDAR - None Redevelopment Agency Minutes 2 June 26, 2001 BUSINESS SESSION 1. CONSIDERATION OF FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002 PRELIMINARY BUDGET. (See City Council Minutes for budget discussion.) MOTION -It was moved by Board Members Sniff/Adolph to adopt the Fiscal Year 2001/2002 Preliminary Budget (as amended) and direct staff to prepare a Fiscal Year 2001/2002 Final Budget for the July 17, 2001, Redevelopment Agency meeting. Motion carried unanimously. Board Member Perkins commented on the need to form a 20th Anniversary Committee at an early date. Board Member Pe~a suggested discussing it on the next City Council agenda. Chairperson Henderson suggested the possibility of one of the Commissions taking on the planning of the event. Board Member Perkins stated he preferred the Council be. involved and appoint the committee.
