The La Quinta Municipal Code 3.28.020 provides that all businesses engaged in or carried on in the city shall pay annual license fees. Please find the enclosed paperwork for a Home Occupation Permit and a City of La Quinta Business License Form. • After we receive the completed Home Occupation paperwork and one-time fee of $70.00, we can schedule a time for a home inspection (usually the next business day between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.). We will try to schedule it at a time that is convenient for you. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes and we will schedule a half- hour window for the inspection time. After the permit has been approved, you may then either bring or mail in your city license form (pink form) with the appropriate fee and that will complete the process.
