COMMUNITY SAFETY DIVISION (760) 777-7050 FAX (760) 777-7011 The City of La Quinta requires that any business not being run from a commercial location, obtain a Home Occupation permit and a City of La Quinta Business License. Our information indicates that you have a hair styling business at your residence. Please read the home occupation permit criteria. You may run the scheduling/paperwork part of your business from your residence, but cannot have clients come to your residence. Please either bring or mail the Home Occupation Permit paperwork and fee to City Hall. You may either call to schedule a home inspection or we will schedule an appointment while you are here. These inspections are usually scheduled in half-hour timeframes for the next business day between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. After the approval of your Home Occupation Permit, the Finance Department will complete the licensing process.
