Subject: Signatures for CVWD documents required to obtain sewer service at the Community
Park, Project No. 2000-11

Please obtain the appropriate RDA signatures for the attached documents. These documents are the
standard forms required by CVWD in order to provide sewer service to the City's facility. The first
document is a petition to be annexed into the District's Improvement District No. 55, and a request
for sanitation services. The second document is a bill of sale giving ownership of the sewer manhole
and lateral installed with the Park improvements to the District which they will then be responsible
for maintenance and upkeep of the same while providing the Community Park with sewer service.
This is standard operating procedure for the City to execute these documents in order to obtain
sewer service to a new facility that does not have sewer service currently available. Please obtain the
necessary signatures at your earliest convenience and retain a copy for the City's records and return
the original executed documents to me so I may transmit them to the District along with the required
fee. The District will probably ask for a resolution stating the designated person who signs for the
RDA has the authority to do so, would you please provide a certified copy of that document also.

RESOLUTION NO. RA 2002-12
A RESOLUTION OF THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY TO EXECUTE CERTIFICATES OF ACCEPTANCE FOR DEEDS
OR OTHER CONVEYANCES PURSUANT TO AGREEMENTS
APPROVED BY THE AGENCY BOARD
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 27281 requires that no deed or grant
of real property to a governmental entity may be recorded unless it is accompanied
by a resolution or certificate of acceptance by the governmental entity;
WHEREAS, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency may, by resolution as
provided in Government Code Section 27281, authorize an officer or agent to
accept and consent to a deed or grant conveying real property to the Agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the La Quinta Redevelopment
Agency of the City of La Quinta, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Executive Director of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency
is authorized to accept and consent to all deeds and grants conveying an interest or
easement upon real estate to the Agency for public purposes where such
conveyance is made pursuant to an agreement which was approved the Board of
the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency. The Executive Director is authorized on
behalf of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency to execute acceptance and consent
of such as set forth in Section 27281 of the Government Code.
SECTION 2. If the Executive Director is unavailable to issue and execute the
acceptance and consent, the Assistant Executive Director is so authorized.
