I have been contacted by, the subject project's contractor, Jim. Snellenberger of World Development,
with a request to certify a field revision to' the construction for the. subject project. The framing
contractor inadvertently left. out one of the double studi lcalled for on , the framing plan at a 6'-0"
sliding. glass. door at the rear of the house. ,Upon review of,the.calcuiatians,A have:determined that
the necessary bracing:for a:single 2 x 4 stud under the header maybe acheived by.spildng the header
stud to the adjacent king stud at 6" o.c. The resultant bearing -depth of 1-1/2°1is sufficient for the
loads involved.

single family residence. There is`a conflict with the A/Crducts penetrating the
wall between bedroom #3 and the FAU closet `The. 10 foot wall length needs to
be reduced by 4' (four feet), rendering pit only 6' (six.feet) long. The resulting
! lateral load per lineal foot is 312 p.l f..this load. can�be supported by changing
wall %G" to a-type"2 6onstruction(8d @--4.' O C:`'`@ all edges).' The overturning

To Whom It May Concern,
I have : been contacted by the subject project's developer. -to reveiw a revision to the plan.
Specifically, a fireplace has been added which de'minishes'the: length of shear wall "A°. The only
usable length .ofjwall is now only 14'-0° at the rear of the living/dining area. It's tributary V is now
3,850 lbs., .the shear, V,. per lineal foot is 275p#. and -the ove turning is 2,048 lbs. As a result of all
of this the wall construction will have to .be upgraded'to a`wall construction type "2" which was
formally not used 'for this particular plan. `This wall type calles,for edge nailing of 8d at 4° o.c. and
578° diameter x 10" anchor bolts at 32" o.c. All else is in conformance with the original calculations.
