CC Resolution 2004-101RESOLUTION NO. 2004-101 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AN OFFER OF DEDICATION FROM SIENNA CORPORATION, A MINNESOTA CORPORATION, FOR ONE PARCEL OF RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR PUBLIC ROADWAY PURPOSES ALONG JEFFERSON STREET SOUTH OF FIESTA DRIVE Case No. RW-D 2004-56 WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta is preparing to widen Jefferson Street, which is classified as a Major Arterial, and desires to acquire right-of-way in conformance with the La Quinta General Plan to accommodate the proposed widening; and WHEREAS, the Sienna Corporation owns a parcel of land located in the southwest quadrant of the Jefferson Street/Fiesta Drive intersection and is developing it into a well site for dedication to the Coachella Valley Water District as a condition of development pursuant to its Tradition Golf Club development located elsewhere in La Quinta; and WHEREAS, the City needs 717 square feet of right-of-way from the future well site in order to fulfill the Jefferson Street right-of-way needs; and WHEREAS, Sienna is willing to dedicate the right-of-way to the City in lieu of the minor compensation that would accrue to its benefit in the interest of saving time and expediting the paper work to bring closure to the issue; and WHEREAS, Sienna has executed an Offer of Dedication for the subject right- of-way parcel from Assessor's Parcel Numbers 649-020-068. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La Quinta, California, as follows: Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Quinta hereby accepts the dedicated parcel of right-of-way as identified in the Offer of Dedication, and Exhibit B. attached hereto. Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of La Quinta shall file this Resolution accepting the Offer of Dedication for recording by the County Recorder.
