Updated Description: The subject property was constructed in 1957 in the La Quinta Cove neighborhood. CRM Tech described
the property as a Modern style single-family residence in 2006. Urbana staff conclude that residence more specifically displays the
characteristics of a Custom Ranch style residential property with Contemporary influences. Since the previous survey, the residence
appears to have been renovated and the fenestration pattern has been altered. The single-family home has a circular flat roof above
an irregular shaped floorplan facing northeast. An attached garage to the south is connected to the residence where the flat
rectangular garage roof meets the round flat dwelling roof. During the current survey, the residence was surrounded by a high
privacy wall which was installed between 2006 and 2007. Based on what is visible, it appears that the aluminum windows along the
public facing elevations have been replaced with vinyl sliding windows. The residence was also repainted. The building features a
grey stucco exterior and a flat roof with a narrow overhang.
Updated Significance: A prior survey evaluated the property as status code 6Z - found ineligible for NRHP, CRHR, and Local
Register designation. The current survey found that the dwelling is associated with the theme of Residential Development (1934-
1970s), but it does not possess individual documented significance in relation to this theme. While the dwelling is located within the
proposed La Quinta Cove Historic District, it is a non-contributor due to its architectural style and date of construction.
The dwelling has not been found individually eligible under NRHP/CRHR/Local Criterion A/1/B, as it has not been associated with
significant events or patterns of events in local, regional, state, or national history; not individually eligible Criterion B/2/B, as it has
not been identified as having an association with an important person; not individually eligible under Criterion C/3/C, as it does not
embody the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction; and not individually eligible under Criterion
D/4/D, as further study of the dwelling would not appear to yield information which could be considered important in local, regional,
state, or national history. Additionally, the property was not found to be individually eligible under Local Register Criterion A, as it
was not found to exemplify a special element of the City of La Quinta. As the dwelling has not been substantially altered, this
dwelling maintains integrity from the historic period.

painted white with gray trim along the edge of the roof. The façade, facing
