Updated Description: The subject property was constructed in 1961 in the La Quinta Cove neighborhood. CRM Tech described
the property as a Ranch style single-family residence in 2006. It is a Tract Ranch style residential property. The one-story single-
family residence has a low-pitched front-gable roof. The gable roof has open eaves with a thick exposed support beam at the center
gable. The residence has a recessed entrance, creating a covered front entrance. There front elevation is clad in vertical board siding.
There are two vertical sliding windows at the front elevation. The subject property is largely obscured by a high stucco clad privacy
wall and vegetation. Based on Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder data on ParcelQuest and visual observation, an
addition in 2012 substantially altered the existing structure. A central mass with a new entryway and an attached garage were
constructed on the property and enlarged the overall footprint of the dwelling. The original low pitch, front-gable of the dwelling on
the south end of the east elevation is visible and extant.
Updated Significance: A prior survey evaluated the property as status code 6Z - found ineligible for NRHP, CRHR, and Local
Register designation. The current survey found that the dwelling is associated with the theme of Residential Development (1934-
1970s), but it does not possess individual documented significance in relation to this theme. While the dwelling is located within the
proposed La Quinta Cove Historic District, it is a non-contributor due to its architectural style and date of construction.
The dwelling has not been found individually eligible under NRHP/CRHR/Local Criterion A/1/B, as it has not been associated with
significant events or patterns of events in local, regional, state, or national history; not individually eligible under Criterion B/2/B, as it
has not been identified as having an association with an important person; not individually eligible under Criterion C/3/C, as it does
not embody the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction; and not individually eligible under Criterion
D/4/D, as further study of the dwelling would not appear to yield information which could be considered important in local, regional,
state, or national history. Additionally, the property was not found to be individually eligible under Local Register Criterion A, as it
was not found to exemplify a special element of the City of La Quinta. Due to limited visibility during the current survey, the integrity
of the dwelling could not be determined, but substantial alteration appears to have occured in 2012.

residence is topped with a low-pitched, side-gabled roof covered with asphalt
and white gravel. Wide, open eaves with fascia boards and gable ends
supported by beams shelter walls sheathed in stucco, and a portion of the
street (east) elevation is veneered with scored plywood panels or vertical
