SENIOR INSPIRATION AWARD NOMINEE
Kathy Kronemeyer has always been an inspirational teacher. She moved to La Quinta in
the early 90’s.
She persevered & received her masters at the age of 70. All while volunteering at Jackson
Elementary School.
She has watched her elementary kids grow up and create their own families. One in particular
became a nurse and moved to Houston, Texas. When the hurricane hit in August of 2017, Ms
Kronemeyer immediately started a small collection within the community & sent the funds to her
within the first few weeks.
I had the pleasure and honor of meeting “Ms Kathy” when my husband and I purchased a home
here in the beautiful cove of La Quinta.
For years I have watched her paint projects and make costumes at her home.
She has spent her own money on taking these kids on field trips & educating them along the
way. From theatre, to art, to educating the children, she is always there.
She’s been involved with preservation to the Salton Sea. She wrote a book on conservation at
the Living Desert. It was for all the children at Jackson to read and see.
Just recently, she has built a website called No One Stands Alone.
A non-profit site that helps assist immigrants on their rights. The volunteers that are involved
consist of many pillars of the community. (www.noonestandsalone.org)
I am only a neighbor. I am sure if your staff will contact Kay Wolff or any of her other friends,
they will give you 100 more reasons why Ms Kronemeyer deserves this award.
Respectfully,
Dianne Lynn Benanti
