Dear Mr. Snellenberger:
This is to report that the Community Development Department has approved your request to have
a temporary construction trailer for the Bella Vista development on Fred Waring Drive, subject to
the following Conditions:
The temporary construction trailer shall not be installed until the Public Works Department
has issued a grading permit for the project. Once the trailer is installed, it can remain on-site
for a six-month period. However, an extension of the six-month period may be made in
writing to the Community Development Department before expiration. The Community
Development Director may, after reviewing the facts, extend the use of the trailer for another
six-month period.
2. A qualified archaeologist shall be on-site during installation of the trailer.
3. Use of the trailer shall be limited to the hours of construction as listed in the La Quinta
Municipal Code (Chapter 6.08, Nuisances). A copy of this time schedule can be obtained
at the Building and Safety Department.
4. A building permit is required for the temporary trailer and temporary electric power. Please
apply to the Building and Safety Department for a permit (777-7012). The construction
trailer shall be self-contained and include bathroom and lavatory facilities for workers or
employees unless otherwise determined by the Building and Safety Director (i.e., freestanding
portable toilets, etc.).
5. A building address shall be installed on the trailer to help identify the temporary business
location (e.g., minimum 3 -inch high letters in a contrasting color). The building address shall
be visible from the adjacent public street.
MUP006-14
MAILING ADDRESS - P.O. BOX 1504 - LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA 92253
6.. Install one 2AIOBC fire extinguisher inside the construction trailer by the exit door, and
provide a "Door to remain open during business hours" sign above the exit door. If you have
any questions, please contact Mr. Tom Hutchison, City Fire Safety Specialist at 863-8886.
7. The trailer, if elevated off the ground, shall be skirted with metal or wood siding material (to
hide wheels, axles, etc.). The skirting material shall be painted to match the exterior color of
the construction trailer. The exterior surfaces of the trailer shall be painted (or stuccoed) and
be in overall good condition since it faces an image corridor street.
8. No temporary signs are permitted unless separately approved by this Department.
9. If construction equipment or materials are stored on the property, temporary fencing shall be
constructed. Temporary chain link fencing is allowed provided wood slates (or other
material) are woven into the diagonals.
10. A Fugitive Dust Control Plan (FRCP) shall be submitted to the Public Works Department
as required by Chapter 6.16 of the Municipal Code. The Plan shall provide methods to
control dust problems at the site during grading or construction activities. Tracked out mud
and dirt from vehicles or equipment onto City streets shall be removed daily or kept damp
until removal can occur. Plan to be required for entire site before grading permit is issued.
11. A Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan is required for this application. The Plan shall be
submitted and approved by the California Regional Water Control Board. A copy of the final
plan shall be submitted to the Public Works Department when completed.
12. Access to the trailer or construction yard from Fred Waring Drive shall be determined by the
Public Works Department prior to any on-site work. Access shall be improved and/or
maintained in accordance with the approved Fugitive Dust Control Plan (FRCP) for the
grading permit.
13. No lighting is allowed unless approved by this Department prior to on-site installation.
Should security lighting be required for the project, all light fixtures shall be hooded to
prevent light glare from being cast onto adjacent properties or affecting the vision of passing
motorists. Tamper resistant light fixture covers are required to reduce vandalism.
14. Mounted close to the front door shall be a written notice informing emergency personnel of
your 24-hour emergency phone number that they can call in case problems arise that need
your prompt attention (i.e., minimum V high letters).
15. The site shall be left free of debris at completion of the project improvements.
16. Fringe -toed Lizard mitigation fees shall be paid before the site is disturbed.
Iv1UP006-14
17. The City may elect to add Conditions to this application request to mitigate any problems that
arise not addressed herein.

Re: Temporary Constructior, Trailer VIA FAX AND US MAIL
Dear Mr. Trousdeu:
This request, along with, the Minor Use Permit, is for a temporary construction trailer to be located at
our upcoming project, "Bella Vista', on Fred Waring Drive.
The trailer is a "single -wide" type trailer, approximately 40 feet long, with two entrances into office
areas. It is similar to the trailer utilized at "Quinterra" and fairly typical of what is used throughout the
valley. We would like to move the trailer on-site as soon as the permit is approved.
Please call with any questions you may have.
Sincerely-----

Re: Temporary Construction, Trailer VIA FAX AND US MAIL
Dear Mr. Trousdeil:
This request, along with, the Minor Use Permit, is for a temporary construction trailer to be located at
our upcoming project, "Bella Vista', on Fred Waring Drive.
The traiier is a "single -wide" type trailer, approximateiy 40 feet long; with two entrances into office
areas. It is similar to the trailer utilized at 'Quinterra" and fairly typical of what is used throughout the
valley. We would like to move the trailer on-site as soon as the permit is approved.
Please call with any questions you may have
