Subject: Time Extension #1 for Minor Use Permit 2000-222 (Lot 48, Tract 28470-
2; 78-591 Talking Rock Turn)
Dear Mr, Henkle,
The Community Development Department has approved your request for a temporary
construction trailer (8'x 28') on Lot 48 of Tract 28470-2, subject to the following conditions:
1. Obtain a building permit including an electrical permit for temporary power.
2. Provide restroom facilities -to accommodate on-site personnel.
3. Mounted to the exterior of the trailer close to the front door shall be a written notice
providing emergency personnel your 24-hour emergency phone number they can
call in case of problems arise that need your prompt attention (i.e., minimum 1" high
letters).
4. Install one 2A1 013C fire extinguisher inside the trailer by the front exit door.
5. No temporary signs are permitted unless separately approved by this Department.
6. Removal of the temporary construction trailer is required upon completion of the
home.
7. Trailer shirting shall be installed within 30 days if the trailer is mounted above
finished grade level.
8. The City may elect to add Conditions to this application request to mitigate any
problems that arise not previously addressed herein.
9. This permit will expire on December 9, 2000.

This decision may be appealed to the Planning Commission provided the necessary
paperwork and filing fee of $175.00 are filed with this office within 15 days from the date

Dear Mr. Henkle:
The Community Development Department hereby approves your request to establish a

pursuant to Section 9.60.250 of the Municipal Code, subject to the following conditions -

within 30 days.

8. Any permits required. by the Public Works Department shall be obtained prior to any
work proceeding.
9. Parking for the use shall be on street in front of the lot or on-site. If on-site, the
driving and parking surface shall be provided with a temporary hard surface (i.e.,
gravel, watered earth, or temporary paving) to eliminate blowing dust. 'Dust control
measures shall be .employed for any other on-site activities.
10. Developer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City of La Quinta in
the event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's approval of this
project. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its defense counsel in
its sole discretion.
11. The City may elect to add conditions to this application request to mitigate any
problems that arise not previously addressed herein.
