SUBJECT: MINOR USE PERMIT 2003-418
(TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION TRAILER)

The Community Development Department has reviewed and approved your
request to establish a temporary construction trailer at 55-0801/2 Winged
Foot (Lots 6 & 7 of Tract 2912 1) within PGA West Country Club, subject to
the following conditions:
1. Obtain a building permit including an electrical permit for temporary
power.
2. This permit shall expire six months from the date of this letter.
3. Provide restroom facilities to accommodate personnel.
4. Mounted on the exterior of the trailer close to the front door shall be a
written notice providing emergency personnel your 24-hour emergency
phone number they can call in case problems arise that need your
prompt attention (i.e., minimum 1 " high letters).
5. Install one 2A10BC fire extinguisher inside the trailer by the front exit
door.
6. No temporary signs are permitted unless separately approved by this
Department.
7. Removal of the construction trailer is required within 30 days of
expiration of this permit. If a time extension is needed, the applicant
shall apply for such extension at the Community Development
Department. The Community Development Director may extend the

permit for another six-month period if ,construction activities are still
occurring. No fee is charged to extend this permit.
8. Dust control measures shall be employed around the construction
trailer if parking is allowed adjacent to the trailer. Such measures shall
include either watering the site or laying a 2" layer of gravel on the
surface in the general parking area.
9. Emergency access to the trailer shall be maintained at all times.
10. Trailer skirting shall be installed within 30 days if the trailer is mounted
above finished grade level. Temporary landscaping is not required to
screen the trailer if skirts are installed and the immediate area around
the trailer is kept clean and free of construction debris.
11. The City may elect to add Conditions to this application request to
mitigate any problems that arise not previously addressed herein.
This decision may be appealed to the Planning Commission by anyone
provided they submit the necessary paperwork and filing fee of $175.00
with this office within 15 days of approval of this permit.

Tentative Tract Map 29121 is within PGA West Specific Plan 83-002. Environmental Impact Report (State
Clearinghouse Number 83062922) was certified by the City Council in 1984 for SP 83-002. No changed
circumstances or conditions are proposed which would trigger the preparation of a subsequent
Environmental Impact Report pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21166. The La Quinta City
Council will consider the subdivision project and the architectural Elevations at the Hearing.
Any person may submit written comments on this case to the Community Development Department prior
to the Hearing and/or may appear and be heard in support of or opposition to the project at the time of
the Hearing. If you challenge the decision of this case in court, you may be limited to raising only those
issues that you or someone else raised either at the Public Hearing or in written correspondence delivered
to the Community Development Department at, or prior to, the Public Hearing. The proposed file(s) may
be viewed by the public Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Community Development
Department, La Quinta Civic Center, 78-495 Calle Tampico, La Quinta, California. The public comment
period starts from the date of this notice and continues through the City Council.Public Hearing on March
2, 1999.
