SUBJECT: MINOR USE PERMIT 2011-1025; CVAG USED OIL FILTER EXCHANGE
Dear Ms. Morris:
The Planning Department has reviewed and approved your request to hold a used oil
and oil filter exchange event at the AutoZone located on 78-792 Highway 1 1 1, in La
Quinta, California. The approval of the event is granted under Section 9.100.130 of
the La Quinta Municipal Code under the following Findings and subject to the following
Conditions:
FINDINGS:
1 . The event will not be detrirriental to the health, safety and general welfare of
the community in the area of the proposed event.
2. There is adequate area to conduct the event and to accommodate the
anticipated attendance.
3. Sufficient parking will be provided for the anticipated attendance.
4. Public roadways providing access to the event are capable of accommodating
the anticipated traffic volumes in a reasonable and safe manner with minimal
disruption to local traffic circulation.
CONDITIONS:
1 . By holding this sidewalk event, the applicant agrees to indemnify, defend and

hold harmless the City of La Quinta in the event of any legal claim or litigation
arising out of the City's approval of this project. The City of La Quinta shall
have the right to select its defense counsel at its sole discretion.
2. The event shall be limited to, the following date (s) and time:
April 9, 2011
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
3. The event shall be conducted as stipulated in the site plan submitted with the
application for this event.
4. Roadways, parking areas, and pedestrian traffic aisles to other businesses and.
activities in the vicinity shall be -maintained accessible at all times.
5. The site shall be left clean and in its original manner after the event.
6. No tent structure shall be installed for this event.
7. A building permit shall be obtained if temporary electric facilities or stages are
proposed. The Building and Safety Department can be reached at (760) 777-
7012.
8. The use of amplified equipment for music presentations is permitted. The
applicant shall comply with the City of La Quinta Noise Ordinance (LQMC
9.100.210).
Adherence to these conditions as outlined herein will ensure that adverse impacts to
surrounding properties and businesses will be minimized. The City may elect to add
Conditions to this application to mitigate any problems that arise not. previously
addressed herein.
