A nonrefundable fee of $200 is required when the Application is submitted. The check must be made payable to the "Cite
of La Quinta". A Minor Adjustment Permit (Section 9.210.040/Zoning Ordinance) may be approved only for deviations
of up to ten percent of a numerical development standard (for example, a reduction of one foot from a ten -foot setback
requirement) or for deviations specifically identified in the La Quinta Zoning Ordinance. Other deviations shall require
consideration of a variance (pursuant to Section 9.210.030/Variance\Zoning Ordinance). If the Applicant is not the owner
of the property, a letter must be submitted by the owner authorizing the Applicant to execute this document in his behalf.

Dear Mr. Olson:
The Community Development Director has reviewed your request to reduce the rear yard
setback from 20' to 18.6' for Lot 28 of Tract 28458-2 (78-534 San Marino Court) pursuant
to Section 9.210.040 (Minor Adjustments) of the Zoning Ordinance. The Director has
authorized approval of the adjustment request because it (1) is not detrimental to the
health, safety, and general welfare of this area, (2) does not exceed 10% of the Code
allowance, and (3) will not conflict with the General Plan or the California Environmental
Quality Act.
The Precise Plot Plan for this Tract shall include this case number at the rear of the affect
lot showing that an adjustment has been allowed by the. City.

To Whom It May Concern:
We, Milton and Barbara Argue, the purchasers of lot 28 at Bella Vista, tract #
28458-2, hereby petition you to approve a rear yard of eighteen and a half
feet. We are aware that the normal setback in this tract is twenty feet
minimum but we really need the third car garage and to loose a foot and a half
in the rear yard is a small price for us to pay to accomplish our preference.
