The Community Development Department has reviewed your request to reduce the rear
yard setback from 25 feet to 24:68 feet and 24.28 feet on lots 1 and 7 respectively in Tract
24197-1 pursuant to Section.9.210.040 (Minor Adjustments) of the Zoning Ordinance. The
Department has approved the adjustment request because they (1) are not detrimental to
the health, safety, and general welfare of this area in that said adjustments are minor and
not readily discernible, (2) do not exceed the 10% allowed by the Zoning Code, and (3) will
not adversely affect the General Plan, which permits single family development on the
property.

I would like to request a minor adjustment be allowed for two lots in.the above
referenced. tract. They are Lots 1 and 7, both of which backup to Miles Avenue and have
the requirement of a 25' rear lot setback. The units encroach into the rear 25' setback by
3" and 9" inches respectively. I have enclosed an exhibit for your reference. Thank you
