Hi Corey — I've received your application for an adjustment at'the subject address for spa equipment. I will
need you to specifically define the adjustment requested. As I had explained previously, there is no need for
this adjustment unless Building is going to require a barrier of some type in. front of the existing equipment,
or new equipment is being installed. My understanding is that the existing equipment is to remain
unchanged, so it is considered pre --existing non -conforming. However, placement of a barrier would require
the adjustment, but it could not be approved for more than a 2 foot reduction in the required 20-foot clear
garage depth. So if the barrier is not necessary, then no adjustment is needed.
Also, the owners need to sign the application before it can be processed. I suggest you contact the Building
Division to determine if in fact any barrier is required. If it is not and you do not plan to install it, we can
withdraw this application.
