This letter is to report approval of your recent application
for a setback adjustment, pursuant to Chapter 9.188 of the City
of La Quinta Planning & .Zoning Regulations. The following
setback adjustment has been approved subject to conditions and
in accordance with attached Exhibit A.
Five foot side & f'ront yard setback reduced to three feet
for the proposed pool.
FOR:. Swimming Pool
a 1. The pool shall include reinforcing and be designed per
the uniform Building Code requirements.
2. The perimeter block wall shall be five feet high
(minimum).
3. Self -closing gates shall be installed which prevent
children from entering the property, etc..
4: A building permit shall be obtained.
6.. Pool equipment shall be maintained 5-feet from side and
rear property lines..
After review it was determined that:

therefore, the usable yard area is very limited to
allow recreational opportunitiesabutting the,home
(e.g. barbecue, sunbathing, etc.) and to provide
pedestrian safety 'between 'thepool and the
residence.
3. This adjustment will not be detrimental to the health,
safety, and general welfare of the community or be
detrimental to property in the vicinity of the parcel for-:
which the adjustment is requested.
