Dear Mr. Day:
This letter is .to report approval of your recent application for a setback adjustment,
pursuant to Chapter 9.188 of the City of La Quinta Planning & Zoning Regulations.
.The following setback adjustment has been approved subject to conditions and in
accordance with attached Exhibit A.
SETBACK ADJUSTMENT:
Ten foot setback reduced to eight feet (rear yard).
FOR: Garage
CONDITIONS:
1. A building permit shall be obtained.
2. A concrete driveway or any other surface as approved by the Building Official
shall provide access to the new garage.
3. 'A Building Permit shall be issued within 90 days of this letter.

After review it was determined that:
1. - This adjustment is consistent with the intent and purpose of the Zoning

2. There are special circumstances applicable to the property, including such
factors as size, shape, topography, location or surroundings that justify
approval of the adjustment. These special circumstances are: the existing
home does not allow the applicant 'to have a two car garage and an existing
curb apron has been provided on the south side of the home for the future
driveway.
