Dear Mr. Lamb: "
Pursuant to your meeting with Mr. Jerry Herman, Community Development Director, this' is to
report an amendment to the approval granted to you on March 7, 1996 for the above -noted setback
adjustment. :. • .
Presently Condition '#2' requires that "any additional wall height required to''comply with the
minimum five-foot height requirement along the radius, in the corner cutback'area shall be provided
with wrought iron or steel tubing." It has been determined that the wall along.the front property line
may be provided as follows:
The five foot high wall required around the pool area shall'be measured from the southwest
corner .of the' existing wall (adjacent to driveway) and shall be a level five feet' in height
around the front and exterior side yard of the lot and adjacent to the driveway to the garage.
It has been determined that this is acceptable. for the following reasons: k r .
1. A stop sign exists for northbound traffic on Avenida Rubio which addresses the traffic
visibility concern in the area of the increased height wall.
2. The new wall creates no visibility obstructions`greater thanwhat presently exists.

This letter is to report approval of your recent application for a setback adjustment, pursuant
to Chapter 9.188 of the City of La Quinta Planning & Zoning Regulations. The following
setback adjustment has been approved subject to conditions and in accord_ ance with -attached •
