Dear Paul:
In the above noted project, there are 18-10'.x11' single column umbrella shelters. Plans
call for 3' deep footings for each of these shelters. At 3 of these shelters, .there is an
existing electrical conduit 32" below grade. It is agreeable that the footings for these 3
shelters can be 32" deep while the 15 others shall be 3' deep footings. Footings for all 18
shelters shall be 30" dia. drilled piers reinforced with 645 vertical bars and 343 circular
ties of 23"dia. equally spaced.
The 40' hexagonal shelter with six columns shall have footings consisting of 30" dia.
drilled piers 40" deep. Reinforcing shall be 645 vertical bars and 443 circular ties of 23"
dia. equally spaced.
