OIL,. AND GREASE INTERCEPTOR/SEEPAGE PIT DISPOSAL FACILITIES — LA QUINTA Regional Board staff received a complete Notice of Intent (NOI) on August 20, 2002 for the subject nursery vehicle wash wastewater disposal facilities. Since these facilities meet the criteria for General Waste Discharge Requirements, Board Order No. 93-600 (copy enclosed) is henceforth applicable to regulate the subsurface discharge of wastewater at this facility. Also, we are in receipt of the $400.00 annual fee, and future annual billing will be from the State Water Resources Control Board. Staff noted from the information provided in the NOI that this proposed vehicle wash facility would discharge a maximum of 250 gallons -per -day of wastewater inn an. oil and grease interceptor/seepage pit disposal system. An on-site well is located more than 200 feet from the nearest seepage pit. The depth -to -ground water is about 100 feet, and the total dissolved solids content (TDS) of the well water, which is the supply water for this facility, is about 360 mg/L. Please note, this order includes Monitoring and Reporting Program No. 93-600, which requires annual sampling of the wastewater to determine compliance with tho requirements. The program requires that the wastewater in the seepage pit for the vehicle wase disposal system be sampled during December for submittal, of the annual monitoring report (wKh the analytical results attached) by January 15 each year.
