The three of concern in this communication are: #0012-059 (March 2 — Maintenance Building at 80-955 Avenue 52); #0107-079 (July 23 — Maintenance Building Site & Exterior Electrical at 80-955 Avenue 52); #0102-012 (March 13 — Pump Station Enclosure for Lake Pump Equipment at 80-905 Avenue 52). Under the administrative provisions of the 1998 California Building Code, "Every permit issued by the building official under the provision of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the... work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days." (CBC §106.4.4) That section also allows the building official to grant an extension of said permit fora period not exceeding 180 days. Based upon conversations and a written request from the applicant, the extension was granted on 5/20/02, creating a new expiration date of 8/1/02. "No permit shall be extended more than once." (CBC §106.4.4) Consequently, these building permits are expired, with no provision for further extension. The site and precise grading plans do not agree with each other pertaining to the perimeter masonry walls adjacent to 52ND Avenue and Madison Street. This wall design and/or location do'not agree with the landscape plans which we are reviewing separately. The wall is required to be setback 20 feet from the street right-of-way. 2. The foundation plan does not show the footings for the stone veneer columns on the north and east sides of the building. 3. The Perimashield II Glass PGS -A and PGS -B Series exterior building lights submitted are not acceptable due to glare from the exposed light source. "Shoe box" type or similar fixtures which hide the light source are required to be used. 4. Municipal Code Section 9.150.080 K. (attached) requires that parking lot facilities be illuminated. Therefore, the parking lot area on the west end of the facility must provide lighting as required. 5. The vehicle aisles behind parking spaces is required to be 26 feet, rather than 24 feet as shown.
