coefficients used.
4. Provide truss calculations with next submittal.
5. Engineer of Record shall provide a letter or shop drawing stamp on the truss calculations stating
he/she has reviewed the truss calculations and layout and finds it to be in general conformance with
the design intent.
6. Submit soils report to justify soil bearing pressure, friction, passive pressure, and equivalent fluid
pressure used. In lieu of a soils report design for the following:

7. Specify a specific detail for the retaining wall at the rear and sides of the building. Plans specify

8. Engineer of Record shall wet -sign 2 -sets of structural plans.
Note and respond to any red -marked items noted on plans, but not specifically noted on this

Return all red -marked documents with resubmittal to facilitate recheck process, and provide an

Subject: Minor Use Permit 2002-358 (Temporary Construction Trailer for The
Hideaway)
Dear Mr. Grub,
The Community Development Department has approved your request for a temporary
construction trailer on Village Club Drive, subject to the enclosed plan and the
following conditions:
1. Obtain a building permit including an electrical permit if temporary power is
used.
2. Trailer shall have restroom facilities to accommodate personnel.
3. Mounted on the exterior of the trailer close to the front door shall be a written
notice providing emergency personnel your 24-hour emergency phone number
they can call in case problems arise that need your prompt attention (i.e.,
minimum 1" high letters).
4. Install one 2A1013C fire extinguisher inside the trailer by the front exit door.
5. No temporary signs are approved unless separately approved by this
Department.
6. Removal of the temporary construction trailer is required by September 9,
2003, or upon completion of the project, whichever occurs first. An extension
of time may be requested prior to expiration.
7. Any permits required by the Public Works Department shall be obtained prior
to any work proceeding. 4

8. Developer agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of La Quinta
in the event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's approval of
this project. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its defense
counsel in its sole discretion.
9. The City may elect to add Conditions to this application request to mitigate any
problems that arise not previously addressed herein.
This decision may be appealed to the Planning Commission provided the necessary
paperwork and filing fee of $175.00 are filed with this office within 15 days.
