Dear Mr. Katz:
(760) 7 7 7 - 7 0 0 0
FAX (760) 777-7101
I have received your request to present the concept "Descanso" to the Cultural Arts Commission.
You had mentioned that the site selected for this art piece is the La Quinta Park, located on the
corner of Adams Street and Westward Ho.
At this time, the Cultural Arts Commission has requested two art features for that location: a
decorative fence around the park and a identification sign. The City Council has determined that
due to the limited amount of Art in Public Places funds available, art pieces for the park site will be
delayed.
Although the Cultural Arts Commission would appreciate your time in presenting the information,
the Commission will not be considering purchasing art work for the park site. Your presentation
may be premature at this time.
Thank you for your interest in the City of La Quinta's Art in Public Places program.

ly,
