CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION MEETING
DATE: April 11, 2002
ITEM TITLE: 20" Anniversary Celebration Musical Entertainment Plans
RECOMMENDATION:
As deemed appropriate by the Cultural Arts Commission.
BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW:
Commissioner Loudon will provide an update on the entertainment scheduled for the
April 28, 2002 fireworks presentation as part of the 20`h Anniversary Celebration.
Commission Loudon may also provide an update on other items in which she is
working on for this activity.
Recreation Coordinator Robert Craven is assigned as staff person to the entertainment
section of the 20' Anniversary Celebration. Mr. Craven is working closely with
Commissioner Loudon to coordinate all aspects of the entertainment segment.
ALTERNATIVES:
The alternatives available to the Commission are:
1. Provide staff with alternative direction.

ITEM TITLE: Annual Work Plan
RECOMMENDATION:
Identify projects to be included in the Cultural Arts Commission 2002/01 Work Plan.
BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW:
Each year, the Commission is required to submit an annual work plan for City Council
approval. This work plan outlines the tasks that the Commission would like to
complete in the coming year.
Attachment A is the Cultural Arts Commission's 2001 /02 Work Plan for consideration.
ALTERNATIVES:
The alternatives available to the Commission are:
1. Identify projects to be included in the Cultural Arts Commission 2002/03
Work Plan; or
2. Do not identify projects to be included in the Cultural Arts Commission
2002/03 Work Plan; or
3. Provide staff with alternate direction.
