As we discussed, the Planning Commission reviewed your request to amend the second
story definition to allow mezzanines and other similar improvements in the Residential
Cove zoning district.
After lengthy discussion, the Planning Commission decided not to make modifications to
the code. Therefore, homes in the Residential Cove zoning district are limited to one
story.
Please note that construction .of the proposed family room addition (without a mezzanine)
on the back of the house is permitted by code.
