Dear Mr. Edwards:
The Community Development Department has reviewed your application for the above
referenced Minor Use. Permit, in'accordance with Sections 9.60.210 and 9.210.020'
of the Zoning Code. The request to use a trailer as a temporary 24-hour guard office
at the above location is approved, subject to the following conditions:
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1. Install one 2A10BC fire extinguisher inside the trailer by the front exit door.
2. Any temporary lighting shall be directed away from surrounding residential
properties and properly shielded.
3. No set-up of the trailer shall be permitted until an electrical permit for
temporary power has been obtained, and adequate hook-ups or other provision
for sanitary facilities have been addressed.
4. This approval is for location of the trailer only. It does not allow. establishment
of any storage/staging areas. The site shall be. kept clean and free of
construction debris.
5. If there will be parking on-site, a suitably sized parking area must be
established, and be located completely off the public street.
6. The trailer and any related temporary equipment shall be removed within 48
.hours of any temporary or final Certificate of Occupancy being issued by the
Building and Safety Department, or within the 180 days granted by this
approval, whichever is the lesser time period. '

7. The applicant/developer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the
City of La Quinta from. any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's
approval of this project. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its
defense counsel at its sole discretion.
The City may impose additional conditions to this application to mitigate any problems
that arise not previously addressed herein. This decision may be appealed to the
Planning Commission provided the necessary paperwork and filing fee of $17.5.00 are
filed with this office within 15 days of the date of this approval letter.
