Wood La Quinta Sports and Youth Authority PO Box 262 La Quinta, CA 92253 RE: Temporary Use Permit 2003-385 - Storage container at Frances Hack Park Dear Ms. Wood: The Community Development Department has reviewed your application for the above referenced Use Permit. Your request. for a temporary storage container, located as per Exhibit A, is approved provided the following conditions are met: General Conditions 1 . The applicant/developer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City of La Quinta from any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's approval of this Temporary Use Permit. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its defense counsel at its sole discretion. 2. This approval shall be valid for a six month period, commencing from the date of this letter. Any request for extension shall be submitted as set forth in Condition #7, prior to expiration of this approval on September 25, 2003. Storage container: 3. Any temporary lighting shall not be directed toward surrounding properties. 4. No container set-up shall be permitted until any required building permit is issued, including any electrical permit for temporary power. 5. This approval is for location of the container only. It does not allow establishment of any other storage/staging areas. Container shall not be located so as to block approved travel ways or required fire access. The site shall be kept clean and free of any debris. 6. One 2' x 3' trailer -mounted sign shall be placed on a visible side of the container, providing emergency personnel a 24-hour emergency phone number to contact in case problems arise that need prompt attention (minimum 1" high letters). The sign shall include a contact name and address for the purpose of identification. 7. This container may only be used for activities associated with the operational needs for the Frances Hack Park facility. Any changes to this approval shall be requested in writing, for approval by the Community Development Department under this Temporary Use Permit, if still valid. This decision may be appealed to the Planning Commission provided the necessary paperwork and filing fee of $175.00 are filed with this office within 15 days of the date of approval.
