DATE: March 12, 2001
ITEM TITLE: Youth Workshop April 18, 2001
RECOMMENDATION:
As deemed appropriate by the Community Services Commission.
BACKGROUND:
At the January 8, 2001 Community Services Commission meeting, the Commission
was provided a mailing list of last year's Youth Workshop participants. The
Commissioners would review the list and provide staff with corrections, additions or
deletions.
Staff has prepared the letter to be sent to participants. In the past, the Commissioners
have called the participants that have not responded to the invitation, to encourage
their participation. The invitation letter requests a response by Friday, April 6, 2001.
Should the Commission so desire, the list will be equally divided and delivered to the
Commissioners so that non -responding participants can be called. The list can be
delivered to the Commissioners on Monday, April 9 via fascimile or personally
delivered.
ALTERNATIVES:
The alternatives available to the Commission include:
1. Direct staff to deliver invitee list to Commissioners by April 9 so that the
Commissioners may contact invitees to encourage particpation; or
