These activities have been provided in bold print in the above information. Of the remaining activities, many fall under the umbrella of the La Quinta High School such as tutoring and job shadowing. The remaining requests are for private enterprise consideration. As the Summer Brochure is being finalized, staff will invite all January 10, 2005 attendees to the May 9, 2005 Community Services Commission meeting for an update on the activities that we are offering due to their participation. The Commission had requested the attendees be invited to attend the May 9, 2005 meeting which was to be held in the Council Chambers. Staff is seeking direction regarding the location for the May 9, 2005 meeting. Staff would suggest the meeting be held in the Courtyard where we could set up refreshments and have music playing prior to the meeting, to showcase the Courtyard as a venue for the teen stand up comedy night that will be held during the summer. The Courtyard is more conducive to conversation and interaction over the Council Chambers.
