THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into the 4 day of October, 2006, between City of La
Quinta and Polo America, a corporation organized under the laws of California, hereinafter called
"POLO".
WHEREAS, City of La Quinta desires to become a balloon sponsor of the Red, White &
Blue Polo and Balloon Festival on January 5-7, 2007 at the Eldorado Polo Club a benefit for the
families of our Service Men and Women serving overseas.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the premises and of the mutual promises
and conditions herein contained, the parties do hereby agree as follows:
1. Grant of Sponsorship Rights. POLO grants to City of La Quinta the right to be a
balloon sponsor of the Red, White & Blue Polo and Balloon Festival.
2. Sponsorship Fees. The sponsorship fee to be paid by City of La Quinta to POLO
will be three thousand five -hundred dollars ($3800) payable on or before November 15, 2006.
3. List of Benefits for City of La Quinta In consideration of the sponsorship fees
provided by City of La Quinta, POLO grants to City of La Quinta the following specific benefits:
A. A full page four color ad in the winter issue of Polo America.
B. Sponsor of one of the Hot Air Balloons.
C. A banner will be created with your company name or logo and hung on the basket
of your sponsored balloon for the three days.
D. Opportunity for one person to ride in your sponsored balloon on Friday, January

E. Your Company name will appear in the Red, White & Blue Polo & Balloon Festival
section of Polo America magazine.
F. Your Company logo will appear on the 1000 posters.
G. Your Company name will appear on the 20,000 invitations.
1T. The announcer throughout the weekend will make announcements of your
sponsorship.
1'. Two VIP tickets to each Polo Match. Includes Saturday night dinner and Sunday
luncheon and fashion show.
4. Safety requirements: City of La Quinta understands that Hot Air Balloon flights can
only be made in good weather conditions. Balloon director: along with the safety officer,
FAA and weather official will decide before each and every event whether to allow the
balloons to fly and or inflate the balloons, go on a 30 / 60 minute hold, or cancel the balloon
race task,& balloon glow. The first 15 days in January are known to be ideal flying
conditions for balloons.
5. Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by, and construed in accordance
with, the laws of the state of California.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Agreement to be executed in
their corporate names by their duly authorized officers as of the day and year first above written.
