LA QUINT A REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
MINUTES
NOVEMBER 7, 2006
A regular meeting of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency was called to
order by Chairman Osborne.
PRESENT: Board Members Adolph, Henderson, Kirk, Sniff,
Chairman Osborne
ABSENT: None
PUBLIC COMMENT - None
CLOSED SESSION
Agency Counsel Jenson requested! an item be added to the closed session as
an emergency item as the need arose after posting of the agenda. She
advised the litigation matter (Conference with Agency's legal counsel
regarding pending litigation, Weitz Golf Construction, Inc. v. la Guinta
Redevelopment Agency - Riverside Superior Court Case No. INC 057961,
pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a).) is scheduled for
mediation tomorrow (November 8, 2006) and a settlement offer has been
received for the Agency to consider.
MOTION - It was moved by Board Members Sniff/Henderson to add the
closed session item as requested. Motion carried unanimously.
1 . Conference with the Agency's real property negotiator, Thomas P.
Genovese, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 concerning
potential terms and conditions of acquisition and/or disposition of a
portion of 525:t acres located at the southwest corner of Avenue 52
and Jefferson Street. Property Owner/Negotiator: lDD SilverRock,
lLC, Theodore lennon.
2. Conference with the Agency's real property negotiator, Douglas R.
Evans, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 concerning
potential terms and conditions of acquisition and/or disposition of real
property identified as APN: 609-040-005, -007, and -023. Property
Owner/Negotiator: Mike Sollenberger, and The Testa Family
Partnership,

3. Conference with Agency's legal counsel regarding pending litigation,
Weitz Golf Construction, Inc. v. La Guinta Redevelopment Agency -
Riverside Superior Court Case No. INC 057961, pursuant to
Government Code Section 54956.9(a). (See Page 3 for Agency
Counsel announcement regarding this item.)
The Redevelopment Agency recessed to Closed Session to and until the hour
of 4:30 p.m.

CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA - Confirmed
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MOTION - It was moved by Board Members Sniff/Henderson to approve the
Redevelopment Agency Minutes of October 17, 2006 as submitted. Motion
carried unanimously.
CONSENT CALENDAR

APPROVAL OF DEMAND REGISTER DATED NOVEMBER 7, 20Q6.
MOTION - It was moved by Board Members Sniff/Adolph to approve
the Consent Calendar as recommended. Motion carried unanimously.

PUBLIC HEARINGS - None
Agency Counsel Jenson advised the Agency has concluded a closed session
hearing on added Item No.3, and has approved acceptance of a settlement
offer by Weitz Golf Construction, Inc. The motion was made by Board
Members Sniff/Kirk and unanimously approved. She advised a Settlement
Agreement will be prepared and made available for public review after it is
executed.
The Redevelopment Agency recessed to closed session as delineated on
Page 1.
The Redevelopment Agency meeting was reconvened with no further
decisions being made in Closed Session which require reporting pursuant to
Section 54957.1 of the Government Code (Brown Act).
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
