council candidates for participating in this event. Residents have expressed that it was of great value to meet and hear

Re: Andalusia Perimeter Wall Staking
Dear Nolan;
The Andalusia curvilinear perimeter walls along Avenue 60 and Madison Street were staked per
the Hart Howerton Landscape Plans, dated 7-29-04, Delta 8 Revision. Wall stakes were graded
to the bottom of wall (BOW) grades shown on the plans. Our survey control and datum is based
on that of the previous Civil Engineer performing work on-site, which was also used for the
original grading and off-site street improvements.
As requested on October 15, 2012, after the grading had been completed, MSA survey crews
checked intermittent grades (beginning and ending of curves (BC's & EC's) of the walls) at the
top of the berm. Berm grades, as checked, were within 0.7 -feet above the BOW grades shown
on the plans. Berm grades were purposely left 0.5 -feet higher than the BOW grades for the
Block Wall Contractor to have cover over the footing and for future landscape mounding
purposes. Where the wall BOW steps between the jogs at the BC's & EC's, the higher of the
two grades was used.
The Hart Howerton Landscape Plan, dated 12-04-04, Delta 12 Revision set of plans were not
used for staking or grading of the berm due to lack of BOW grades at the BC's & EC's.
