Subject: Minor Use Permit 2001-288, Revision #1 (Temporary Construction Trailers)
Dear Ms. Butler,
The. Community Development Department has approved your request to relocate a,
temporary construction trailer on Lot 10 of Tract 24197 (Dandelion Drive) to 79 836
Morris Avenue (Lot 8) and add a second 8'x20' construction trailer on Lot 8, subject
to the enclosed plan and the following, conditions:
1 Obtain a building permit including an electrical permit for temporary power. .
2. Trailers or site shall have restroom facilities to accommodate personnel.
3. Mounted on the exterior of the trailers close to the front door shall be a written
notice providing emergency personnel your 24-hour emergency phone number
they can call in case problems arise that need your prompt attention (i.e.,
minimum 1 " high letters).
4.. Install one 2A10BC fire extinguisher inside the trailers by the front exit door.
5. No temporary signs are approved unless separately approved by this
Department.
6. Removal of the temporary construction trailers is required by April 19, 2002,
or upon completion of the project, whichever occurs first. An' extension of time
may be requested prior to expiration.
7. Trailer skirting shall be installed facing the streets (if the perimeter wall is not
installed) within 30 days if the trailers are mounted above finished grade level.
8. Any permits requiredby'the Public Works Department shall be obtained prior
to any' work proceeding.
9. Parking for the. use shall be, 'on street in front of the tract or, on-site. If on-site,
the driving and parking surface shall be provided with a temporary hard surface
(i.e., gravel, watered "earth, or temporary paving to eliminate blowing dust.
Dust control measures shall be employed for any other on-site activities.
10. A setback of ten feet from the rear property line shall be provided for the
trailer.
11. Developer agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of La Quinta
in the event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of`the City's approval of
this project. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its defense
counsel in its sole discretion.
12. The City may elect to add Conditions to this application request to mitigate any
problems that ,arise not previously addressed- herein.
13. Remove all facilities on Lot 10 "related to the original location of the .
construction trailer within 30 days of establishing'the new construction trailer
site.
This decision may be appealed to the Planning Commission provided the necessary
paperwork and filing fee of $175.00 are filed with this office within 15 days.
