The City Council of the City of La Quinta does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The La Quinta Official Zoning Map is hereby amended by rezoning
certain single-family residential properties located south of Avenida La Fonda, west of
Washington Street, north of Avenida Nuestra, and east of a boundary line located 100
feet west of Calle Guatemala, from Medium Density Residential, Single Story, ,Rm , to
Medium Density Residential, Single Story, 10 foot rear setback, `1111 110) . The
property shown and depicted for such rezoning on the map is attached to, and made a
part of this Ordinance under "Exhibit A."
SECTION 2. ENVIRONMENTAL. The Zone Change has complied with the
requirements of "The Rules to Implement the California Environmental Quality Act of
1970" (as amended and adopted in City Council Resolution 83-68), in that the
Community Development Department has determined that the proposed Zone Change
will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment and therefore, the City
Council has certified a Negative Declaration of environmental impact.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty (30) days after its adoption.
SECTION 4. POSTING. The City Clerk shall, within 15 days after passage of
this Ordinance, cause it to be posted in at least three public places designated by
Resolution of the City Council; shall certify to the adoption and posting of this
Ordinance; and shall cause this Ordinance and its certification, together with proof of
posting, to be entered into the Book of Ordinances of this City.
