Versatile units are applicable to expansion valve systems or RFCMT'M' (Refrigerant Flow Control) systems. Several models are available in varying sizes with a wide range of heating and cooling capacities. See Heat Pump Outdoor Unit bulletins indexed in this tab section. Optional field installed electric heaters are available in several sizes for supplemental heating capacity. CB19 models are applicable to up-flo or down-flo discharge air applications. Units are shipped for up-flo applications and may easily be field converted to the down-flo position by turning the unit upside down and repositioning the coil, drip shields and cabinet access panel. Filters are not furnished and must be provided by the installer. An optional side return air adapter with filter(s) is available for up-flo models only. An optional additive base is available for models with electric heat installed in the down-flo position on combustible floors. CBH19 models are designed for horizontal discharge air applica- tions. Units are furnished with left hand air discharge as standard and may be field changed to right hand discharge by turning the unit over (end for end) and repositioning the coil. CBH19-51 and CBH19-65 models are furnished in a two piece cabinet with blower and optional electric heaters in one section and the indoor coil in the other. Hardware is furnished for field connection of cabinets. Filters are not furnished and must be provided by the installer. Energy efficient outdoor units have SEER'S of up to 12.00 with a cooling capacity range of 18,900 to 61,000 Stun and COP ratings of up to 3.46 with heating capacities of 19,100 to 59,000 Btuh. The units are designed for applications with remotely located indoor blower - coil units or indoor add-on coils in Fuelmaster + installations. The outdoor units are equally suited for installation on a slab at grade level or on a roof- top. A variety of matching up-flo, down-flo and horizontal blower powered l indoor units, with optional supplemental electric heat, provide selective sizing and installation versatility. For Fuelmaster + applications and com- plete data on indoor units see individual bulletins indexed in this tab sec- tion. Outdoor units are test operated at the factory to insure proper operation and are shipped ready for installation. Installer has only to locate unit and make refrigerant line and electrical connections to complete installation. Refrigerant Control Choice — A choice of refrigerant flow controls is available. Use an RFCIUT•M' refrigerant metering orifice for an economical installation restricted to specific indoor coil units. An alternate choice is to select an optional check and expansion valve kit to give a larger selection of indoor coils to select from. RFCIII SYSTEMS DISTRIBUTOR RFCIII METERING ORIFICE DISTRIBUTOR CCABINET CONNECTOR LIQUID STRAINER IS PROVIDED LINE IN CONNECTOR TO PROTECT ORIFICE FROM FOREIGN MATTER Refrigerant Flow Control 1H — HP19 units are applicable to Lennox RFCIII systems when matched with the CB19 and CBH 19 blower -coil units only. RFCIII (Refrigerant Flow Control) is a very accurate means of metering refrigerant in a system. Refrigerant metering control is accomplished by the exact sizing of a refrigerant metering orifice located in the distributor of the CB19/CBH19 coils. The distributor Is equipped with a flare fitting connector located external to the cabinet for easy connection of the liquid line. See sketch. The design of the bullet-shaped metering orifice allows for reverse flow during the heat*1g cycle. As the refrigerant flows in the C reverse direction the orifice movesback in the free flow position, eliminating the need for a check valve and related piping in the system. The whole principle of the RFCIII system involves the matching of the indoor coil and the proper sizing of the metering orifice. The RFCIII system equalizes pressures instantly after the compressor stops. It therefore starts unloaded eliminating the need for any extra controls. ` Expansion Valve Systems — For maximum seasonal efficiency use an (` expansion valve matched to a chosen indoor unit. Check and expansion valve kits are available and must be ordered extra. Kits field install on the indoor coil units..For kit requirements see ARI Ratings table. For use in expansion valve systems the C819/CBH19 indoor coils must be field altered for removal of the RFCIII refrigerant metering orifice. The orifice may be easily removed at the liquid line connection on the indoor coil. NOTE — Specifications, Ratings and Dimensions subject to change without notice.
