Scope of work:
The purpose of the project is to Install land-
scaped median islands on Jefferson Street be-
tween Indio Boulevard and Highway 111. The
prolect Includes the boring between medians and
Installation new sleeves, Installation of planting
and Inert matenals, irrigation, electricalllightlng, ~
and providing plant establishment and project
maintenance All the above Improvements are to
be made In a workmanlike manner, leavIng the
entire project in a neat and presentable condition
to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. The Con-
tractor's attention IS directed to the Technical
Specifications presented within Section 4000 of
these specifications.
All project work and incidental Items to complete I
the project shall be performed In accordance with
the plans, specifications, and other provIsions of
the contract. All the above Improvements are to
be constructed in a workmanlike manner, leavlnj;l
the entire project in a neat and presentable condl- -
tion. Refer to Sections 1500, 3000 and 4000 for
more information.

The purpose of the project IS to install approxi-
mately 3,600 linear feet of two rail recycled plas-
tiC ranch fenCing along Avenlda Montezuma. The
proposed limits of the project are approximately
300 linear feet north of Calle Nogales, south to
Calle Chillon for an approximate rength of 3,600
linear feet. The prOject Will also inclucfe five open-
ings In the fence along Avenlda Montezuma for
pedestrian access to tne Fred Wolff Bear Creek
Trail at the following street locations' Calle Nogal-
es, Calle Chihuahua, Calle Monterey, Calle Coli-
ma, and Calle Arroba. All project work and Inci-
dental Items to complete the project shall be per~
formed In accordance With the project details (Ap-
pendix) and speCifications contained herein. All
the above tasks are to be completed In a work-
manlike manner, leaving the project site in a safe,

Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300
for monies earned by the Contractor and withheld
by the City to ensure the performance of the
Contract, the Contractor may, at Its option,
choose to substitute securities meeting Hie re-
qUirements of said Public Contract Code Section

of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the BUSiness and Pro-
fessions Code of the State of California to do the
type of work contemplated In the project. In ac~
