PC Resolution 1987-001PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION N0. B7-001 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT N0. 87-001 ADDING CERTAIN REGULATIONS RELATING TO MINIMUM SIZE OF COMPACT CAR STALLS AND COMPACT CAR PARKING LAYOUT WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of La Quanta, California, did on January 27, 1987 hold a duly noticed Public Hearing in accordance with Section 65854 of the California Government Code; and WHEREAS, said text amendment has complied with the requirements of "The Rules to Implement the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970" (County of Riverside, Resolution No. 82-213, adopted by reference in City of la Quanta Ordinance No. 51, in that the Planning Director has determined after initial study (Environment Assessment No. 87-0651 that the project sill not have a significant adverse impact on the environment and that a negative declaration should be filed. WHEREAS, at said public hearing and upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Planning Commission did find the following facts to exist to justify this approval of said text amendment. 1. The Amendment to Section 18.12 of the Municipal Land Use Ordinance is consistent aith the La Quanta General Plan. 2. Approval of the amendment sill loot result in any significant adverse environmental impacts. 3. The Amendment provides for development flexibility,and encourages better land use and parking lot design opportunities not currently offered. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of La Quanta, California, as follaas~ 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case; 2. That it does hereby confirm the conclusion of Environmental Assessment No. 87-065, in that the approval of this zoning text amendment sill not result in a significant adverse impact on the environment, and that a Negative Declaration is appropriate for filing; 3. That the Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the City Council approval of Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 87-001 as contained in Exhibit "'A" attached hereto.
