2008 05 06 RDA MinutesLA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES MAY 6, 2008 A regular meeting of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman Kirk. PRESENT: Agency Members Adolph, Henderson, Sniff, Chairman Kirk ABSENT: Agency Member Osborne MOTION - It was moved by Council Members Sniff/Adolph to excuse the absence of Agency Member Osborne. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT -None CLOSED SESSION -None CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA -Confirmed APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Sniff/Adolph to approve the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of April 15, 2008, as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. CONSENT CALENDAR 1. APPROVAL OF DEMAND REGISTER DATED MAY 6, 2008. MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Sniff/Henderson to approve the Consent Calendar as recommended. Motion carried unanimously. Redevelopment Agency Minutes 2 May 6, 2008 BUSINESS SESSION 1. CONSIDERATION OF A LANDSCAPE AND IRRIGATION DESIGN AND INSTALLATION FOR TWO AGENCY-OWNED HOMES TO REDUCE WATER CONSUMPTION AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS. MOTION - It was moved by Agency Members Henderson/Sniff to approve the design and installation of a drought tolerant landscape and irrigation plan for two Agency-owned homes as a demonstration project to encourage water conservation and appropriate 529,000. Agency Member Adolph questioned if we have the locations. Assistant City Manager-Development Service Evans stated the program will be implemented on properties as they become vacant; and the goal is to have one in line and one on the corner for demonstration. Agency Member Adolph requested to personally view the properties before and after the installation. Assistant City Manager-Development Services Evans stated that could be arranged. Motion carried unanimously. STUDY SESSION -None CHAIR AND AGENCY MEMBERS' ITEMS -None PUBLIC HEARINGS -None ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, it was moved by Agency Members Sniff/Henderson to adjourn.
