Per plan check comments, changes have been made as follows: 1. Designers name, phone number, and wet signature have been added to every page of the planset. 2. The note for installers has been changed to "Use Individual MPPT's" to properly reflect electrical calculations. Please see PV9. 3. Connections have been clarified to be irreversibly crimped on the line diagram. Please see PV9 4. The tie-in method has been switched from a supply side connection to a standard breaker tie-in. The customer is going to upgrade his electrical panel from 200A to 225A, and maintain a 200A main breaker. In this way our system will comply with NEC 690.64(B)(2). 5. Regarding the corrections on the electrical calculators. The PVI -4.2 cutsheet has been swapped in to show our specific model. This gives a power rating for this inverter as 4200 watts. With the standard grid voltage of 240 volts, the inverter continuous output current rating will be 17.5A ( 4200 / 240 = 17.5). Please see PV13. 6. Explanation for not fusing on the DC side: Both PowerOne inverters (PVI -4.2 and PVI -6000) in this system have a maximum utility backfeed of 0 amps. The block diagram for the PVI -6000 is shown on the next page (which is also similar to the PVI 4.2). The control circuit (grey box) in the PVI -5000 senses the current and voltage from both the DC side of the inverter as well as the utility service coming from the AC side. In the unlikely event that the utility tries to backfeed our inverter through the breaker in our subpanel, the control circuit in the inverter would sense that the power coming from the DC side is not equal to the utility feed coming from the AC side. At this point, the inverter opens the grid parallel relay, and no current can flow to the DC side. Additionally, the dual MPPT'S for each inverter are kept separate right up until the AC output.
