We have reviewed your preliminary plan and cannot approve your request to have a side -loaded carport within 11 -feet of Calle Arroba, a public street. The SR Zoning Code requires a carport or garage structure to be a minimum of 20 -feet from the property line whether it is front- or side - loaded. However, a Setback Adjustment Application can be applied for if the support post(s) is a minimum distance of 16 -feet from your front property. An application can be picked up at our department if you wish to revise your request. The filing fee is $100.00. If the carport is built, staff must require a concrete driveway to the structure pursuant to Chapter 9.42.070 (D) of the Municipal Code.
