It was determined that a permitted patio cover, 11' by 17' had been converted into a bedroom without proper permits or required inspection. This special inspection revealed that requirements for light and ventilation, emergency egress and setback were being met and in compliance with current codes. It is not known if insulation is installed in the walls and ceiling. The fire assembly between the room and the garage has been installed according to code. There were no apparent structural deficiencies noted at the time of the special inspection. A smoke detector is required. to be installed in .the bedroom.
