existing trusses. These three trusses would' -also most likely
carry another 290 lbs. resulting from EC -1. The total weights of
these units amount to approximately 1000 lbs. or about 10 .lbs.
per square foot of additional load over a reasonable tributary.

mately 25 lbs. per square foot dead and live load.. Al' of the
proposed HVAC units will add about 1.5 lbs. per square. foot over
a reasonable tributary area of the beam or about 100 lbs. per
lineal foot along the beams.. It would be reasonable.to expect
the additional 1.5.lbs. per square foot tributary load to the
glulam beam can be adequately supported.

In.summary, it is my opinion, based on the -review of sheet AC -2
and the existing structural plans for the.buildirig, that there is.
adequate capacity in the existing trusses and glu-lam'be*am to
support ..the addition of the HVAC units. However, during in'st'al-
•lation the contractor- should inspect. -the existing trusses. and
glulam for previous damage and should take care as to not .induce
impact loads on the trusses or glulams.during installation of'.the
units..
