Fire Department personnel have completed a review of the plans you submitted for
the above referenced project.
The Fire Department is required to set a minimum fire flow for the remodel or
construction of all commercial buildings using the procedure established in
Ordinance 546. A fire flow of 4000 gpm for a 3 hour duration at 20 psi residual
operating pressure must be available before any combustible material is placed on
the job site.
The fire flow required is based on the applicant/developer providing 4 hour fire
resistive walls where all compartments shall not exceed 12,000 square feet.
The existing water mains and fire hydrants will provide sufficient fire protection
for the proposed project.
THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS MUST BE MET PRIOR*TO OCCUPANCY:
A three (3) hour fire -rated, self closing door assembly constructed per UBC 43-2
standards must.be installed in the opening of the four-hour rated area separation
wall.
Install portable fire extinguishers per NFPA, Pamphlet 1110, but not less than
2AlOBC in rating. Contact certified extinguisher company for proper placement
of equipment.
Requests for inspections and/or tests are to be made at least 48 hours in advance
and may be arranged by,calling (619) 342-8886. A plan check/inspection fee of
$85.00 must.be paid the the Riverside County Fire Department prior to final inspection.
