The overhead nozzle carriage rotates and follows the vehicle travel so as to achieve full coverage of the roof, rear windshield, trunk and rear bumper. H.P. WASH ARCri HPW=300 Sonny's Wash Arch was designed to clean the top surfaces and sides and assist in the cleaning of the front and rear of a vehicle. However, it must be used in conjuction with an application system to accomplish this. Sonny's Wash Arch basically works as follows: As the front end of the vehicle approaches Sonny's Wash Arch, 12 overhead zero degree nozzles mounted to three stainless steel manifolds begin to oscillate and spray 20 GPM of water at 650 PSI to achieve coverage of the front bumper, hood, windshield, and roof of the vehicle. Meanwhile the sides of the vehicle are geing cleaned by the two side blasters each of which have seven fan nozzles delivering wash water at 1200 PSI. These fan nozzles maintain their cleaning effectiveness by remaining close to the vehicle's surface. The driver side is stationary while the passenger uses a parallelogram which is pushed into position by the vehicles wheels. (An optional set of 96" tire brushes can be installed to replace the parallel- ogram guide bar). As the vehicle continues to move through the Sonny's arch and reaches the halfway point, the direction of the overhead nozzles is switched to achieve coverage of the rest of the roof, the rear windshield, trunk and rear bumper. The unit is constructed of 4"x 4"x 1/4" alu- minum. The bumper cleaner accomplishes this through its five stainless steel manifold design and the use of 50 zero degree nozzles which are hydraulically oscillated in unison. Half of the nozzles face each direction (front, rear) and deliver up to 20 GPM at 600 PSI by way of its own pumping station. The unit is constructed of aluminum and has galvanized steel diamond plate lids. 610 Diamond plate lids. Five manifolds shown. Hydraulic drive provides oscillation of manifolds. In the reservoir is an adjustable heating element which is -used to maintain a constant temperature of the solu- tions being used in the wash process. To make sure that the solution _temperature in the lines to the arch does not drop, it is constantly being recirculated to the reservoir and reheated. Mounted in the reservoir is a thermometer which can be mon- itored to make sure that the proper temperature is being main- tained. On the inlet to the reservoir is a hydrominder which is used to maintain proper solution concentration. The reservoir also comes equipped with a low level shut-off float. r -------------------------I i E Length: ...........................18„ E A Width: ..........................21" E Unit Height: ., ............ ..... 46" g Electrical: , .............. 1. 112 HP o oWater: ..................... 3/4" hot 1 0 L----- ---'--------- APPLICATOR PUMP (AIR) This air operated ARO pump unit is great for pump- ing Tire chemical, Mag wheel solution, etc. It is ideal for self service bays for use with presoak, foam brush, etc. Another popular use is for application of presoak, wax, etc. through an arch for conveyorized car wash use. Set the air pressure up to 100 PSI and the pump will deliver up to 11 GPM. The pump internally is designed to turn itself on and off to maintain the pressure it is set in the out going solution lines. There, is no need for a pressurized tank and pressure switch for unit. L SONNY SEZ: As my sons, who are involved in operating car washes would buy new equipment to update their tunnels, it bothered me to see the prices that they were paying. I felt that it was necessary to seriously look into the manufactur- ing of equipment for them. As I began to pro- duce their replacement equipment, other opera- tors would see my equip- ment in operation and ask if I would make some items for them. I never intended to become an equipment supplier for the industry! However, in the past 10 years, and espe- cially in the last 5 years, it has become clear to me that I am in it to stay. I firmly believe that I pro- duce top quality equip- ment and I am proud to say that the pricing is very reasonable - especially when you consider that we back it tip with a full war- ranty - and we carry man- ufacturers liability insur- ance on all the products that we produce.
