The plans are now approved subject to the conditions listed below and the attached compliance sheet.

2. Provide a certified air balance report for the exhaust hood and make up air prior to final construction approval.
3. This approval fs for only one (1) "Lang P13-24" sandwich toaster. Per the California Department of Health services,
only one of these units may be permitted inside of the facility without exhaust ventilation.
4. Provide a high velocity model air curtain above the delivery door. The model submitted is for customer entry
doors. Utilize the "NHV" model if a Mars unit is installed.
5. The wood laminant material submitted is not approved (WD 815). Provide approved wall material in the place of
this material (ie approved ceramic tile, FRP, or light colored semi gloss paint). See redline correction Sheet A 2.3.
6. The trash enclosure floors and walls must be smooth and sealed with an epoxy sealer to be impervious to grease
and. oils.
7. Note: All equipment must be ANSI certified (ie. NSF or equivalent) and be installed on 6" legs, casters, or on a
continuously coved curbing.
8. Provide an approved Reduced Pressure Principle back flow prevention assembly on the water line to the
carbonator. The unit must be installed in a location to facilitate drainage of the relief -valve to a floor sink within 15
feet.
9. The walk in coolers (and all other food service equipment) must drain indirectly to an approved floor sink within 15
feet See redline correction on plumbing sheets. A floor sink must be installed for the walk in cooler item #040.
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTIONS: Contact the Plan Checker for a Preliminary Inspection when construction is
approximately 80% complete, with plumbing, rough ventilation, and rough equipment installed. Request for
inspection should be made at least five (5) working days in advance.
A FINAL INSPECTION MUST. be made upon completion of ALL work including finished details. APPROVAL to
operate shall not be granted, or remodeled areas approved to operate, until the facility has passed the FINAL
INSPECTION, and "APPLICATION TO OPERATE" has been completed and PERMIT FEES have been paid.
Request for inspection should be made at least five (5) working days in advance.

4) Install Knox Key Lock box, Model 3200, mounted per recommended standard of the Knox Company. If the
building/facility is protected with a fire alarm system or burglar alarm system, the lock boxes will require "tamper"
monitoring. Special forms are available from this office for the ordering of the Key Switch. This form must be
authorized and signed by this office for the correctly coded system to be purchased.
5) Provide keys to the tenant space for inclusion in the main building Knox Box. Key(s) shall have durable and legible
tags affixed for identification of the correlating tenant space.

6) Install panic hardware and exit signs as per Chapter 10 of the 2001 CBC.
7) Install floor level exit signs as per the 2001 CBC.
8) Prior to final inspection of any building, the applicant shall prepare and submit to the Fire Department for approval, a
site plan designating required fire lanes with appropriate lane painting and/or signs.
9) Certain designated areas will be required to be maintained as fire lanes.
10) Install portable fire extinguishers per Title 19, but not less than 2A1 OBC in rating. Contact a certified extinguisher
company for proper placement and spacing of equipment.
11) Shelving, counters, etc., must be in place, however, no merchandise may be placed in the building prior -to inspection.
12) The Fire Alarm System plans submitted with this plan are not a part of this plan review.
13) Approved building address shall be placed in such a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the
street and rear access if applicable. Building address numbers shall be a minimum of 12" for building(s) up
to 25' in height, and 24" in height for building(s) exceeding 25' in height. In multi -tenant buildings,
businesses shall post the business name and suite number on back doors as well as the front. Suite
numbers or letters must be a minimum of 6" in height. All addressing must be legible and of a contrasting
color with the background and adequately illuminated to be visible from the street at all hours.
14) Electrical room door shall be posted "ELECTRICAL ROOM" on the outside of door.
15) Room capacity shall be posted in a conspicuous place on an approved sign near the main exit from the room.
