THE FOLLOWING STRUCTURAL CORRECTIONS ARE REQUIRED.
1. Provide calculations and specific details, for the proposed roof trusses, the proposed layout
shall be signed and stamped by the manufacturing engineer as well as signed and shop -
stamped by architect/engineer of record. [CBC 106.3.2]
2. Provide details of the fireplace, indicate chimney lining, reinforcing, ties to building, etc.
[CBC 3102.3.4]
3. Provide 2 inch minimum (1 inch for exterior chimneys) clear air space between chimney
and wood construction. [CBC 3102.3.3]
4. Provide a copy of the soils report so that recommendations may be cross referenced to the
plans.
5. A header/beam shall continuous from one end of the LRF panel to the other, revise 5/S5.7
to comply.
6. Point load on R13 (calculations page 27) from R12 not found.
7. Detail all uplift connections on R30.
8. Revise calculations for pad footings to:
1. Use a default bearing value of 1000 psf unless specified otherwise by the soils
report.
2. Unclear why a 1.33 load duration factor is used for gravity analysis.
9. Allowable soil bearing and other design values used for the cantilevered retaining wall to
be verified ,upon resubmittal with soils report.
10. Provide calculations to justify the shear max panel capacities that are not listed in ICBG#
5402.
11. Specify footing size under F3.
12. Design footing under Shear Max panels for overturning moment. Provide deepened
footing and additional rebar as needed.
13. Revise 18/S6.2 to specify which column goes with each base plate.
14. Revise plans to indicate an f'c of 3000 psi for the cantilevered retaining walls per
calculations pages 118-141.
