Dear Tom,
We have performed structural observation with regards to the framing for the above referenced project
and find it to be in general conformance with the approved structural plans with the exception of the
following items:
1. Need to provide sill plate, anchor bolt washers and nuts at middle box column located in the
garage.
2. Need to provide A35 at 12" o/c inside of double drag truss to doable top plate at shear will 4 8 in
lieu of MSTA36 strap as specified in detail 1C/S1.5_
3. Need to sbeath entire exterior portion of entry tower and parapet framing as per shear wall type
A. Please refer to detail 9/55.5.
4. Need to provide 2X bearing blocks at roof as per detail 3/55.1 over beam R7.
5. Roof detail at rear over beam R4 does not reflect what is shown in detail 16/55.4_ By visual
inspection the framing at this location is adequata.
This structural observation does not relieve the City in any way from performing their standard structural
inspections nor is it in lieu of any code required special inspections. The structural observation
performed should not be construed as.a detailed structural inspection bat as a structural observation for
generdI conformance as per CBC 1702,220.
