Single Family Residence
On August 8 and 11, 1988 a representative of our- firm performed density
tests on, the house pad on the above referenced project. ;ests,"were
performed at random locations, in accordance with ASTM D 2322-81 and.
ASTM.D 3017-78 Nuclear Density Test Procedure. Tests we'rep,rformed as
per authorization of David Cetina with A & M Construction:
The, estimated locations of the -tests are presented -on the attached plan` Lt `
with their results being summarized on the attached test -.report sheet.. A'
total of three (3) density tests were performed`-" .Tests . results indicate 4
that .after reworking the area of low density,, a . minimum of ninety (9.0)
percent, relative compaction has been obtained within the areas tested.
The maxi mum'density-optimum moisture were determined in the laboratory
in accordance with -ASTM D 1557=78, Method A or C.

1. The project is located at the southwest corner of. Cal l el Qutnto and
Avenida La Fonda in the La Quinta area of Riverside County., California.
2. Prior to our arrival at -the site, the fill had been placed .and
compacted. Testing indicted an area of low density.
3. This area of' law density was reworked before our naxt arrival; '
retesting indicated that the required density has been obtained.
4. The purpose of testing was'to observe compliance with the minimum
requirements of the City of La Quinta, California.
LIMITATIONS
This firm did not perform a soils investigation, did not conduct any tests to
determine the general condition, adequacy. or stability of. Coils on the
property, nor did it observe the'fiIIing or compacting operations which were
already completed at the time our personnel were called to the site. The
only services performed were the specific moisture and density tests
summarized in this report. These test results provide anly limited
information about the surface materials observed at the lccations and
depths tested and cannot be relied upon for information aboua. subsurface .
conditions or compaction, or to determine the appropriateness of any design
or construction.of improvements on the site. No inspection was made of the
contractor's work and no guaranty or warranty of that work in filling or s
compacting of the soils on site is made or implied.
